Founder of Wondo Soccer

       Chris Wondolowski, AKA “Wondo” founder of Wondo Soccer, has played in the MLS since 2005 being one of the greatest success stories in MLS history. Wondolowski attended De La Salle high school in Concord, California before making his way to Chico State for soccer. While at Chico State, he made an NCAA Division II Finals appearance and received the All-American award in 2003 before being drafted by the San Jose Earthquakes in 2005. Wondo played his rookie season with the Quakes, who won the 2005 supporters shield before moving with the entire franchise to Houston, Texas with the creation of the Houston Dynamo. While with the Dynamo, Wondolowski became known as “King of the Reserves.” During his time in Houston, the Dynamo won two MLS Championships in 2006 and 2007. Midway through Wondo’s 2009 season with the Dynamo, he was traded back to his hometown team with the San Jose Earthquakes. 

       The soon to be Captain found his home with the San Jose Earthquakes and has been with them since. Wondolowski had a breakout season in 2010 which resulted in 18 goals and the MLS Golden Boot. Over the course of his years with the Quakes he has won the Golden Boot twice, a Supporters Shield, and broke the All-Time Goals record. In addition to his time with the Quakes, Wondo also played with the United States Men’s National team. During his time with the USMNT he made 36 appearances with 11 goals throughout International friendlies, qualifiers, Gold cups, and 2014 World Cup. The Earthquakes captain enters his 17th MLS season as the league's all-time leading scorer with 166 goals after being re-signed by the Quakes for the 2021 MLS season. 

       After completing his final season in 2021, Wondolowski plans to jump head first into personalized lessons, trainings, and consultations for all age groups at Wondo Soccer.
